MICHAEL DECAUNI, President & CEO

As founder of Callian Capital Private Equity Inc. and The Callian Group, Michael Decauni is known particularly well for his problem-solving and mediation skills.  Mr. Decauni is often sought when high level business issues require timely, innovative solutions, naturally including those of the Callian Family Office and its ultra high net worth clients throughout Canada, the Gulf Countries and Africa.

He is also actively engaged in providing general corporate advice to Canadian and international companies doing business in the Middle East. After many years in the region, Michael has extensive cross-cultural experience and is able to reach across the private and public sectors, as well as international borders, to make connections for his clients, introducing them to unique opportunities around the world.

Throughout his career, both as a professional [can we add ‘banker’?] and then as an entrepreneur, he has been involved in large transactions with numerous prominent banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions. Michael has been able to attain a notable degree of success, translating into high rates of return for his clients and shareholders, as well as significant growth for his own enterprises.

Michael holds a Business degree from York University and is licensed with The Ontario Securities Commission and The Financial Services Commission of Ontario. He is an active participant in the Canadian political and Not-For-Profit sectors, and is an avid supporter of various Canadian and international charitable causes.
